Our Remembrance Day service was held on Sunday, 9th November, in honour of all those who gave their lives. We gathered around the war memorial opposite St John’s for the opening of the service, which included the Last Post and a two-minute silence at 11 a.m., as we reflected on the ordinary men and women who achieved extraordinary things on our behalf.

Wreaths were laid by representatives from East Cheshire Council, our Parish Council, and our church. The names of the Adlington servicemen who were lost in the First and Second World Wars were then read aloud. The commemoration concluded with a short service inside the church.
